In a competitive first half, both side sized each other up, with play going end to end.  The deadlock was broken just on half time when Cartwright scored for Stockingford Sports.  After the break with Sports on top Gaz Holmes netted a second on 55 minutes, and a third followed from the penalty spot, Andy Dagnall sending the Thistle the wrong way.  Thistle pulled one back before  Martin Morris completed the scoring in the final minute.
