In warm spring sunshine, both teams came quickly out of the traps, with both teams testing each other.  Royal Oak were on top and opened the scoring on 12 minutes when Darren Oddy slotted home, a score which would remain until half time.

Royal Oak continued to dominate and the League leading marksman Lewis Halfacree notched the second and his 42nd goal of the season.  Things were not going Hartshills way and 3 goals in 8 minutes secured the cup for the Oak.  An own goal and two more for Lewis Halfacree to complete an excellent hat trick and a trophy for the Oak in this their first season.
