Hartshill Manor claw back from 3 down!

Hartshill Manor produced the comeback of the day in Heartland Evening News division four as they moved into fourth spot and maintained their 100% league record. Their opponents, Attleboro Sports, took a 3-0 lead and looked set to take all three points, however two goals each from Danny Burton and Pete Gillam, plus singles from Stuart Nevitt and Andy Harris secured a 6-4 win for Hartshill. Ford Oak Res take over top spot after they beat Royal Oak Bedworth 6-1. Gavin Orton was the day’s top scorer with five of his team’s goals, Michael Nixon scoring the other. Lewis Half acre scored the Royal Oak reply. Third placed Collycroft Cricketers shared the points in a 2-2 draw with Baddesley Red Lion, while Paul Faulkner and Paul Bolstridge both scored twice for Anker in their 5-2 win over Bedworth Liberals Res. Another Paul, Paul Arnold, scored the third Anker goal; Carl Lewis scored both Liberals replies. Attleboro Mills Res collected their first win of the season as they beat Wentworth Wanderers Res 2-0.

 
Bulkington White Lion FC v Fir Tree FC in Premier One

Nuneaton Riley’s are back on top of Mortgage Advice Agency division five after they beat Chapel End Salutation Res 7-1. Dave Jones scored four times for Riley’s Lee Ramone bagged the other three. F C Gallery drop to second after Black Bank held them to a 3-3 draw. Paul Jones, Paul McDonald and Lloyd Jacques gave FC Gallery a 3-0 half time lead but Black Bank hit back through Adam Hobson, Stephen Matthews and James Rampton to share the points. Mancetter Athletic stay in third and have opened a three point gap on fourth placed Chapel End, thanks to an 8-1 win over Yenton Res. Andy Green and Lee Taylor both scored hat tricks for Mancetter, James Boucher scored the other two. Alan Smith took his season’s tally to 10 for Jail House as they shared 8 goals with Lord Raglan. Saul Brennan, Michael Haynes and Lee Rudd scored the others, Luke Davis, Gill Matty, Richard Load and Danny Lucas replied for Lord Raglan. Luke Ebery scored twice for Abbey Green Athletic, as they also had to share the points. Scott Morris and Jason Daffern replied for Warriors as they drew 2-2.   

Ford Sports are back on top of Mission Fashion Premier One after they beat Nuneaton Prince 2-1. Ford played 80 minutes with ten men after Neil Mather was sent off. Goals from Lee Petch and an own goal made up the Ford Sports score line, Rocky Pratt replied for Prince. Sunnyside slip to second after Haunchwood Sports held them to a 2-2 draw. Hartshill Sports are up to third thanks to a 4-0 win over Chase FC. Shane Ellsworth, Matt Hatcher and Neil Button were among the scorers. Jamie King scored twice for White Hart R.L. but in a week for drawn games, John Murray’s brace for Collycroft Goose ensured the game ended 2-2. Bulkington White Lions resurgence continues as they beat Fir Tree 3-1. Kieran Moore missed an early penalty but made up for it by scoring twice, Darren Whitmore scored the third goal. New Dolphin collected their first league victory since their promotion last season. Danny Owen, Chris Broadhurst, Richard Loach, Darren James and Andy Lawrence all found the net for Dolphin in a 5-1 win. Darren Horne scored the Drayton reply. 

 
Do we need the lights on ?

Weddington Thistle stay a point clear at the top of Deslandes Premier Two thanks to a 3-0 win over Bedworth Liberals. Alex Evans scored twice for Weddington, Tom Bray scored the other. Black Horse Sports stay on the coat tails of Weddington after they beat Wentworth Wanderers 4-2. Sean McCallum and Lee Miller both scored twice for Black Horse. Trent take over from Crystal in third spot after they beat Attleboro Arms 3-2. Arms took a 2-0 lead but Trent hit back through Shane Brassington, Glyn Callaghan and a last minute penalty from Danny Woods. Crystal drop to fourth after they drew 1-1 with Bull & Anchor Ash Green, while a 4-2 win for Collycroft Cricketers over Bedworth Travellers keeps them in fifth. Ian Chaddaway and Matt Storer both scored hat tricks for Ambleside as they beat Coton Rose 9-2. Rob Yewson, Tom Blundell and Jim Coss added the singles. Seam Shilton scored both Coton Rose replies.  

Ford Oak were the days top scorers as they demolished Lancet 11-1 to stay top of Alphie Cain division one. Completing a high scoring day for the club Dave Merry led the way with four of the Ford Oak goals. Jonathan Clark also bagged a hat trick, Stuart Bordern and Brad Matthewson two apiece. Nick Stamford scored the Lancet reply. Two goals from Giles Andwar and a single from Danny Armiger ensured Hill Top stay second after a 3-2 win over Trent FC Res. Adam Lenton scored both Trent goals. Haunchwood Sports Res are up to third after beating Ansley Social 4-2. Shane Hunter and Ed Prince were on target for Ansley but John Bindley, Ade Harrison Ryan Smith were among the scorers for Haunchwood. James Thomason scored twice for Hartshill Sports Res as they went onto beat Attleboro Mills 4-2. Lee Molineaux and John Knight completed the scoring, Alan Reader scored twice for Mills. Jonathan Hughes scored twice for Nuneaton Cherry Tree as they beat Nuneaton Punch Bowl 2-0. Warren Percival scored twice for Kelly’s Bar in their 6-2 win over Coton Liberal. Matthew Price, Daniel Moreton, Aaron Barrell and Clark Barrell also found the net for Kelly’s Bar, Jamie Simpson and Ashley Morgan replied for Coton.  

Windmill moved to within three points of Nuneaton Print division two leaders Stockingford Sports, after they beat Attleboro Oak 2-1. Carl Roper and Craig North both found the net for Windmill, Jamie Miles replied for Attleboro Oak. Old Swan are up to third after two goals from Tom Clarke and one each from Rob Dawe and Luke Cope gave them a 4-0 win over Nags Head. Alex Naughton scored a debut goal for Ridge Lane Res as they beat Drayton Res 2-1. John McEwan scored the other Ridge Lane goal, Darren Phipps replied for Drayton.  

Two goals from Darren Hodge and a single from Adrian Talbot gave Yenton a 3-0 win over Mount Pleasant Bedworth, a win that moves them to within a point of Nuneaton Trophies division three leaders Attleboro Arms Res. Paul Gaunt scored twice for Nuneaton Prince Res as they beat Chapel End Salutation 6-0. Danny Twigger, Jordan Talbot, Nathan Nightingale and Kevin Cook completed the Prince scoring. Tom Magielski was on target for Black Horse Sports Res but they went down 3-1 to Ambleside Res, while Richard Cousins and Jason Roseblade scored for Hill Top Res but they went down 5-2 to Weddington Thistle Res.
