Windmill take the "Knocker
West" Cup !
Windmill are the winners of the
John ‘Knocker’ West memorial trophy
after they beat Yenton 2-0 in this weeks final. Two first
half goals from Sean Roper and player manager Jason
Messinger was enough to beat Yenton who were appearing in
their first ever cup final.

Ford Sports Res came from behind to beat Nuneaton Prince
Res in the
Peter Smith Memorial Reserve Cup
final.
Two goals from Dave Aucott and on each from Neil Percival
and Adam Brown helped Ford to a 5-2 win, after they were
2-1down after half an hour.

Collycroft Goose won the
Mission Fashion Premier One title
for the first time thanks to a 2-0 win over Hartshill
Sports on Friday night. Goose have lost just won in their
least 11 games as they raced to the title and won again on
Sunday beating Ridge Lane 5-3. Steve Charlton and Gary
Duncan both scored twice for Goose, Lee Greenaway adding
the single. Ivor Green, John McKewon and Adam Hamilton
replied for Ridge Lane. The race for runners up spot is
now on with five teams still in with a shout. Bulkington
lie in second spot with a four-point advantage over Ford
Sports, but finished their league campaign with a 6-4
defeat to, Ford Sports. Drayton can still finish second,
but goal difference may become a deciding factor. They
gave that a boost with a 3-0 win over Hartshill Sports.
Pete Benn scored twice for Drayton.

Two more victories for Weddington Thistle
and they will clinch the
Deslandes Premier Two title.
An 8-0 win over Collycroft Cricketers help to secure
promotion spot. Black Horse Sports will go up with them
after they beat Trent FC 3-1,denying Trent promotion. Sean
McCallum, Lee Miller and man of the match, Lee Stein found
the net for Black Horse, Shane Brassington replied for
Trent. Andy Mosey grabbed a hat trick for Bedworth Liberal
as they beat Bull & Anchor Ash Green 4-1. Adam Harding
scored the other Liberals goal, Mark Harrison replied for
Bull & Anchor. Bedworth Travellers need to win their three
remaining games to avoid the drop. They battled to a point
this week in a 2-2 draw with Attleboro Arms. Ambleside
found their scoring touch as the beat Wentworth Wanderers
7-2 with Lee Welland scoring a hat trick. Ian Chaddaway
scored two of the others, Matt Storer and Matt Hall the
singles. Darren Burridge and Alan Dyde scored the
Wentworth consolations.
Ford Oak, Hill Top and Haunchwood Sports
Res have all secured promotion from
Alphie Cain division one,
but Hill Top are now favourites for the title. They beat
leadersFordOak3-0in mid week and followed that up with a
9-2 win over Hartshill Sports Res. Charles Andoh, Byron
Warmington and Adam Richardson all scored twice for Hill
Top, Chris Neale, Paul Harrison and Danny Armiger scored
the singles. James Tomason scored both Hartshill replies.
Kelly’s Bar came from a goal down to beat Nuneaton Punch
Bowl 3-2. Stuart Hunter gave Punch the lead but Daniel
Moreton scored his 24th goal of the season to
restore parity for Kelly’s Bar. Both teams were then
reduced to 10men with Kelly’s Bar coming off the worse
after losing their goalkeeper. Steve Phillips took over
and made three saves to deny Punch a second goal. It was
Kelly’s Bar who took the lead through Clarke Barrell and
doubled the advantage with a goal from Matt Price. Hunter
scored his and Punch’s second, but Kelly’s Bar held on.
In
Nuneaton Print division two,
Stockingford Sports moved to within a point of leaders
Attleboro Oak thanks to a 3-1 win over Sunnyside Res.
Sports will make sure of the title with two points from
their last two games. Mark Essex was on target for Chase
Res but they went down 3-1 to Ridge Lane Res. Jamie
Skelton scored a hat trick for The Crew as they finished
their season with a 5-2 win over Drayton Res. Lloyd Walton
and Sean Daniel scored the other Crew goal, Shay Tirabasso
and Richard Bennet scored for Drayton Res.
Baddesley Red Lon moved out of the bottom
three in
Heartland Evening News division four
after they beat Wentworth Wanderers Res 3-2in their last
league game. Greg Aston, Nathan Thurman and Matt Woolley
scored the Red Lion goals, Tom Clarke scored twice for
Wentworth. PNW Athletico and Attleboro Sports shared the
points in a 1-1 draw. Andrew Styring gave PNW the lead
before Luke Melling missed a penalty on his return from
injury. Alex Lawrence equalised for Sports late in the
game.
Nuneaton Riley's are a point away from
clinching the Mortgage Advice
Agency division five title. Last season they
finished bottom but one having won only four games. Twelve
months later their 17th victory will give them
their first championship trophy. This week they drew with
title rivals F C Gallery who ended a run of two defeats.
Fourth placed Jail House beat Stockingford Sports Res 7-1.
