Good day for Hill Top,
Haunchwood & Ambleside !
Hill Top booked a place in the final of the
N.I.C. Cup
thanks to a 3-0 win over Nuneaton Cherry Tree and a
wonder goal from Charles Andoh. Andoh’s opener from 30
yards on the angle of the penalty area, set Hill Top along
the way to the final. Further goals from Adam Richardson
and Danny Armiger cemented their place where they will
meet, Haunchwood Sports Res. Mark Mullholland’s hat trick
help d Haunchwood to a 4-0 win over Kelly’s Bar.
Matthew Hall was also on target from 30 yards for
Ambleside Res as they reached the final of the
Brian Dowsett Memorial Cup.
His extra time winner gave Ambleside a 3-2 win over Black
Horse Sports Res. Nuneaton Prince Res await them in the
final after they overcame Hill Top Res 6-4 in a high
scoring semi final.

Attleboro Arms v Coton Rose in the
Daily Tribune Cup
Bedworth Travellers secured their place in the final of
the
Glass 2000 Cup
thanks to a 5-4 win on penalties against local rivals
Collycroft Cricketers Res. With the game all square at 3-3
Travellers held their nerve in the shoot out. In the
delayed round 2 game, Trent FC reached the semi final, and
kept their chances of a league and cup double intact after
they beat Weddington Thistle 4-2. Shane Brassington, Andy
Massey, Danny Woods and Craig Brown all hit the target for
Trent, Alex Evans scored both Weddington Thistle replies.
Stockingford White Lion edged out Drayton Res in the semi
final of the
Sid Clay Memorial Cup.
With both teams level at 1-1 after extra time, White Lion
steadied themselves for the shoot out and go on to meet,
Ford Sports Res who beat Attleboro Oak 3-1in the other
semi.

In the league games played
Mission Fashion Premier One
leaders Ford Sports suffered their first league defeat and
also lose top spot, after going down 2-1 to bottom club
Chase FC. Nick Rolfe and Kristian Hollowood were on target
for Chase; Lee Petch scored his 250th goal for
Ford Sports. Nuneaton Prince came back down to earth after
last week’s win as they were beaten 6-1 by While Hart RL,
who take over top spot as a result. Ricky Luke scored
twice for White Hart, Jamie King, Christian Mullins,
Robert Holt and Duane Cammock scored the others.
In
Deslandes Premier Two,
Bull & Anchor Ash Green take over in second spot with
thanks to a 2-1 win over Coton Rose. Crystal are up to
fourth spot after they beat Wentworth Wanderers 2-1. Nick
Ginnelli and Carl Pearce were on target for Crystal, Lee
Schulha replied for Wentworth. Bedworth Liberals slip a
place after they were beaten by an Ian Chaddaway hat trick
for Ambleside in a 3-2 defeat. Liberals twice took the
lead through Andy Sinclair and Matthew Harding, but
Chaddaway equalised both from the penalty spot.
Chaddaway’s winner came late on and all this with only ten
men for the bet part of an hour.
No change at the top of
Alphie Cain division one
with neither of the top three in league action. Hartshill
Sports Res, in fourth spot, closed the gap on the top
three thanks to a 3-0 win over Coton Liberal. Anthony
Griffiths, Aaron Banks and Jack Williams all found the net
for Hartshill. Nick Fessey scored twice for Attleboro
Mills as they went on to beat Lancet 3-2. Rob Kirkbride
scored the other Mills goal; Alan Haywood scored both
Lancet replies.

Arms trying to keep the ball !
Stockingford Sports stay out in front at the top of
Nuneaton Print division two
but had to settle for a share of the points this week
after they were held to a 2-2 draw with Windmill. Paul
Elkington scored both Sports goals. Chase Res missed a
penalty as they drew 1-1 with Old Swan. Jona Aucott put
his penalty wide of the target but redeemed himself later
to give Chase the lead. Old Swan equalised after they
break to share the points.
Yenton Sunday leap frogged over Sporting Lloyds after they
won their top of the table cash with Lloyds, 3-1, in
Nuneaton Trophies division three.
Scott Stewart and Adrian Talbot gave Yenton a 2-0 lead,
but Lloyds hit back after the break with a penalty.
Stewart’s second goal for Yenton, in the last minute,
settled the nerves and the result. Weddington Thistle Res
collected maximum points from a 5-3 win over Attleboro
Arms Res.
In
Heartland Evening News division
four,
Hartshill Manor closed to within a point of leaders Royal
Oak Bedworth, after they beat Baddesley Red Lion and Royal
Oak were held to a 4-4 draw by Collycroft Cricketers Res.
Pete Gillam scored both Hartshill goals in their 2-1 win,
while Lewis Halfacree 2, Richard Seymour and Adam Bowker
on target for Royal Oak. Martin Stokes, Craig Holland,
Gavin Edgar and Stuart Darlison replied for Cricketers.
Bedworth Liberals Res slip t fourth after they lost 3-1 to
Wentworth Wanderers Res, while Anker Inn lost ground at
the other end as they lost by the same score against
Attleboro Sports. James Horton scored twice on his debut
for PNW Athletico, and nearly made it three as they drew
4-4 with Ford Oak Res. Andy Styring and Darren Morris also
found the net for PNW, but Horton missed a chance in the
last minute to secure all three points. Craig Kemp,
Stephan Dudley, Michael Nixon and Dave Merry replied for
Ford Oak.
FC Gallery and Hayrick are level on points at the top of
Mortgage Advice Agency division five
after both enjoyed high scoring wins. FC Gallery stay on
top on goal difference and came away from Wentworth
Warriors with a 5-0 win. Paul McDonald was the hat trick
hero, Gary Kent and Brett Ward scored the other two.
Hayrick meanwhile overcame Abbey Green Athletic 4-1. Glen
Matty was on target for bottom club Bedworth Miners Arms
but Jail House hit back to take the points in a 3-1 win.
Stockingford Sports Res won their mid table tussle with
Chapel End Salutation Res 2-0.
