Hill Top hit top form to
beat Premier 2 Arms !
The remaining ties in the
first round of the Tribune Cup
were completed this week with Hill Top
producing a cup upset by knocking out Premier Two side
Attleboro Arms. The division one side ran out 3-0 winners
tanks to two goals from Danny Armiger and one from Chris
Neale. Kelly’s Bar continued their rich vein in front of
goal as they beat Jail House 6-3. Darren Boone opened the
scoring for Kelly’s with Daniel Moreton adding a second.
Jailhouse pulled a goal back to reduce the arrears at half
time but Kelly’s Bar came out of traps quicker and scored
three more through Moreton again, Scott Williamson and
Brendan Johnson. Jail House pulled two more back but the
game was finally out beyond them by a sixth from Quinton
Stephens. Ashley Steptoe scored twice for Yenton Sunday as
they went on to beat Ansley Social 4-2. Jonathan Lunn and
Adrian Talbot also scored for Yenton with Steve Jones and
Eddie Prince replying for Ansley. Mark Perrett found the
net for Mancetter Athletic but they went down 6-1 to Mount
Pleasant Bedworth.

In the league games played
Ford Sports stay top of Mission
Fashion Premier One despite drawing 2-withRidge
Lane. Sunnyside lead a trio of clubs on six points after
they beat Fir Tree 9-4. Steve Hines bagged four of the
goals, Lee Smith 2, Chris Brett, Wishan Behan and John
Williams added the others. Peter Gill 2, Rudi Gazeley and
Chris Grimshaw replied for Fir Tree. Collycroft Goose move
up to third after they beat New Dolphin 5-1. Lewis Seymour
grabbed a hat trick for Goose, Craig Long and Gary Duncan
scored the others; Darren James scored the Dolphin
consolation. Rob Holt and Jamie King both found the target
for White Hart RL as they moved into fourth with a 2-1 win
over Chase. Ian Mallabone scored the Chase goal.
Haunchwood and Bulkington White Lion shared the spoils but
failed to trouble the scorers as they drew 0-0.
Crystal Sunday,
Trent and Weddington Thistle share the lead at the top of
Deslandes Premier Two
after all enjoyed their second win of the season. Bull
Athletic beat Coton Rose 5-0 to go top on goal difference,
while Trent move into second after they also won 5-0. Phil
Green scored four times for Trent as they beat Ambleside.
Adam Newall scored the other goal in his last appearance
before he goes off to University. Ashley Roper scored
three times for Weddington as they beat Bedworth Liberals
6-1. Alex Evans, Richard Canavan and Joe Johnson scored
the singles. Wentworth Wanderers had Adie White and Alan
Dyde to thanks for their 2-0 win over Bedworth Travellers.

Hartshill Sports Res moved
to the top of Alphie Cain
division one with a 2-0 win over Nuneaton Punch
Bowl. John Whittaker and Paul Aiello were on target for
Hartshill. Ford Oak missed the chance to joint them after
they were held to a 2-2 draw with Haunchwood Sports Res.
Jonathan Clarke scores both of the Ford Oak goals, Dave
Taberer and keeper Ryan Vaughan replied for Haunchwood.
Ford Sports Res and
Stockingford Sports share the early lead at the top of
Nuneaton Print division two
with Ford Sports leading on goal difference. Graham Duncan
scored twice for Ford, Ray Harris, Dave Aucott and Ian
Ensor scored the singles as they beat Old Swan 5-3. A
Martin Cooper penalty and further goals from John New and
Luke Cope, made up the Old Swan reply. Andy Dagnal, Gareth
Holmes and Kyle Cartwright all found the net for
Stockingford Sports as they beat New Dolphin Res 3-2.
Stockingford White Lion lie in third spot after they drew
2-2 with Ridge Lane Res. Darren Longstaff and Neil Moran
were both on target for White Lion. Chris Smallwood, Jason
Messenger and Sean Roper all found the net for Windmill as
they beat Nags Head 3-1,Lee Moreton came off the bench to
score the Nags reply.

with Black Horse Sports Res in
Nuneaton Trophies division three despite being
held to a 1-1draw with Nuneaton Prince Res. Wayne Beaumont
found the net for Hill Top, Tristan Cox replied for Prince
Res. Black Horse Sports Res beat Attleboro Arms Res 4-2.
Danny McLaughlin bagged a hat trick for Chapel End
Salutation as they beat Ambleside Res 5-3.
Wentworth Wanderers Res are
a point clear at the top of
Heartland Evening News division four despite
being held to a 3-3 draw with Anker Inn. Tm Clarke scored
two of the Wentworth goals, Mark Wilson adding the other.
Paul Arnold 2 and Eddie Swift replied for Anker. Attleboro
Sports picked up their first win of the season as they
edged out Ford Oak Res 3-2. Michael Nixon scored both
Ford Oak goals; Alex Lawrence 2 and Mark Wilson won the
game for Sports.
Chapel End Social Res are
three points clear at the top of
Mortgage Advice Agency division five after a
comprehensive 8-1 win over Lord Raglan. Lee McKewan and
Lewis Greening both scored hat tricks for Chapel End.
Nuneaton Rileys stay second despite drawing 1-1with Black
Bank. Andy Kang scored the Riley’s goal; Michael Olner
scored the Black Bank goal. Lee Hoskins and James Stewart
both found the net for Abbey Athletic as they drew 2-2with
Nuneaton Prince 3rds. Warren Pesson and Cadlion Parma
replied for Prince. Carl Hutchinson scored twice for
Yenton Res as they went onto beat Wentworth Warriors
5-0.Lee Hewlett, Andrew Rap and an own goal made-up the
Yenton scoring.
