Fir Tree & Hauchwood to
meet in Final !
Fir Tree booked a place in the final of the
Ian Neale Builders Cup
after they beat Drayton 3-1 in their semi final tie.
Richard Statham, Rudi Gazeley and Andy Falconbridge all
hit the target for Fir Tree with Pete Benn replying for
Drayton. They will now meet Haunchwood Sport who edged
passed Hartshill Sports 2-0.
The semi finals of the
Observer Shield
also took place and saw Nuneaton Cherry Tree book their
place in the final with a 6-1 win over PNW Athletico. Carl
Hutchinson scored twice for Cherry Tree with Kieran
Kimberley, Carl Douglas, Stuart Stain and Stuart Jerrams
scoring the others. Black Horse Sports will provide the
opposition in the end of season final after they beat
Wentworth Wanderers 3-1.Kirk
Taylor
was on target for Wentworth but James O’Brien, Kevin Smith
and Jay Cattell secured victory for Black Horse.

On the league front, Ford Sports are back on top of
Mission Fashion Premier
One despite being held to a 3-3 draw with Sunnyside.
Sunnyside took a share of the points after keeper Neil
Stephenson scored from his own area in the last minutes of
the game. White Hart slip to second after they lost the
‘Ridge Lane’ derby 3-0, to
Ridge Lane. New Dolphin moved out of the bottom
two after they beat Chase FC 4-2.
Trent FC had their lead at the top of
Deslandes Premier Two
trimmed to two points after they drew 0-0 with Co0llycroft
Cricketers. Weddington Thistle moved into second spot
after they beat Bull & Anchor Ash Green 4-0. Ambleside won
the relegation battle with Bedworth Travellers 2-1. Darren
Gray gave Ambleside the lead, after ten minutes, with a
deflected shot with Jim Inglis doubling the lead five
minutes later. Steve Bartlett pulled a goal back for
Travellers who then had the best of the game but couldn’t
find the equaliser.
The top two in
Alphie Cain Division one
are still separated only by a point after both won again.
Ford Oak stay top 5-0 winners against Attleboro Arms with
Gavin Orton bagging a hat trick and Brad Matthews and
David Evans adding the singles. Hill Top took all three
points from a 4-1 win over Trent FC Res but fell behind to
a goal from Craig Bloxham. However two goals from Denzil
Richards and singles from Ashley Wilkes and Adam
Richardson turned things around for Hill Top. Hartshill
Sports Res and Kelly’s Bar shared the points as they drew
2-2. James Thomason gave Hartshill the lead after 5minutes
and Jason Ward added a second after ten minutes as Hartshill looked like
running away with the game. However in the second half
Kelly’s Bar found their feet and drew level through Aaron
Barrell and Barry Wilson, his first goal of the season.
Lancet moved out of the bottom three thanks to a 2-0 win
over Nuneaton Punch Bowl.

Goalkeepers ball !
Stockingford Sports increased their lead at the top of
Nuneaton Print division two
to six points after they beat Nags Head 3-1. James Ryder,
Gareth Holmes and Dean Shannon all found the net for
Stockingford, Lee Moreton replied for Nags Head. Dave
Nicholls came out of retirement, again, for Attleboro Oak
to earn them a point in a 1-1 draw with Stockingford White
Lion. New Dolphin Res won the ’Long Street Atherstone’
derby as they beat Old Swan 3-2, while Sunnyside Res and
Drayton Res shared the points in a 2-2 draw.
Sporting Lloyds were knocked off top spot in
Nuneaton Trophies division three
after they went down 4-2 to Mount Pleasant Bedworth.
Matthew Montgomery scored twice for Yenton as they went on
to beat Weddington Thistle Res 4-0. Andy Taylor added a
third direct from a corner while Darren Hodge’s free kick
completed the scoring.
The top of the table clash in
Heartland Evening News division four
saw leaders Royal Oak Bedworth beat second placed
Hartshill Manor to open up a three-point lead. Manor slip
to third and are replaced by Collycroft Cricketers Res who
beat Anker Inn 7-0. Seam Mosey scored twice or Bedworth
Liberals Res as they beat Ford Oak Re4-1. Carl Lewis and
Paul Brown completed the Liberals scoring, Michael Nixon
replied for Ford Oak.
In the
Mortgage Advice Agency Division
five,
Paul McDonald took his season’s goal tally to 23 with two
more in FC Gallery’s 5-0 win over Bedworth Miners Arms.
Matthew Watson, Lee Kent and Daniel Durbin completed the
scoring. Hayrick are up to second thanks to their 4-2 win
over Jail House. Ian Hay scored twice for Hayrick, John
Arshad and Graham Goulden scored the other goals.
