Hartshill Sports ease into
Round 3 !
Hartshill
Sports eased into round there of the
BCFA Sunday Cup but they
had to come from 2-0 down to eventually beat Maudsley 7-3.
Frankie Dixon scored the first Hartshill goal with Matt
Stanley’s penalty levelling the scores after halftime.
Dixon added his second and further goals from Mick
Husselbury 2, Wayne Hadley and Darren Eggleton secured
Hartshill their win. Pete Been scored twice for Drayton as
they won the all NDSFL clash with Haunchwood Sports. Ben
Sadler also found the net for Drayton in a 3-0 win. Ford
Sports went down 2-1 to Pertemps while Chase FC will fight
another day with Peugeot Mills after their game as
abandoned due to the bad weather with both sides level at
2-2.Ben Wollerson scored both Chase goals.

Black Horse
Sports v Weddington Thistle
There is a
three-way tie at the top of
Mission Fashion Premier One with Ford Sports,
White Hart RL and Bulkington White Lion all sharing 13
points. Ford were away on Sunday CUP duty allowing White
Hart RL to move into second spot thanks to a 5-2 win over
Fir Tree. Chris Hobson scored twice for Bulkington as they
beat Nuneaton Prince 4-1. Martin Earle and Robbie Jones
completed the Bulkington scoring, Dean Upson replied for
Prince.
Trent FC
maintained their four-point lead at the top of
Deslandes Premier Two
after beating bottom club Coton Rose 8-3. Phil Green
scored his second hat trick in a week, Ben Rowan and Jai
Leech scored two each, Shane Brassington added the single.
Weddington Thistle moved into second after they beat Black
Horse Sports 5-2. Jay Cattell and Kevin Smith scored for
Black Horse. Bull & Anchor Ash Green moved into third spot
after they beat Attleboro Arms 4-2. Roy Batchelor scored
two of the Bull goals; Garry Twigger and Danny Hollowood
scored the others. Bedworth Liberal’s are up to fourth
thanks to a 3-1in over Wentworth Wanderers, while Lee
Cotterill was on target for Collycroft Cricketers as they
drew 1-1 with Ambleside. Rob Youson scored the Ambleside
goal.

Wet day in Bedworth
The top four
in Alphie Cain division one
all registered victories with leaders Ford Oak recording
the biggest win. Dave Merry led the way with a hat trick
for Ford, Stuart Bordern 2 and Lee George scored the
others as they beat Coton Liberals 6-1. Amir Lee scored
the Coton consolation. Hill Top maintained the only 100%
record in the division as they beat Ansley Social 4-1.
Ashley Wilkes, Ashley Radburn, Danny Armiger and Adam
Richardson all found the net for Hill Top, Gary Harvey
scored the Ansley goal. Haunchwood Sports Res registered
a 1-0 win over Hartshill Sports Res, while Daniel Moreton
scored twice for Kelly’s Bar as they beat Lancet 3-2.
Aaron Barrel secured victory in the last minute for
Kelly’s Bar after Sean Suffolk and Steve Phillips had
brought Lancet level. Lancet themselves though they had
taken the points but had a goal disallowed for Barrell’s
winner. Alan Mellors was on target for Trent FC Res but
they remain without a win after losing 3-1 to Attleboro
Mills. Nuneaton Punch Bowl however have broken their duck
thanks to a 3-0 win over Cherry Tree. Sam Baldwin opened
their account with the first, Steve Garlick added the
second from the penalty spot with Lee Clarke wrapping up
the win with the third.
Gareth Holmes,
Andrew Dagnall and James Ryder all found the net for
Stockingford Sports as they stay top of
Nuneaton Print division two.
A 3-2 win against Chase FC Res keeps them a point clear of
Attleboro Oak. Oak enjoyed a 9-1 win over Old Swan with
16-year-old Geoff Broadhurst coming off the bench to score
four goals, his first in senior football. Windmill and
Ford Sports Res stay in third and fourth after both scored
three times to record wins. Craig North scored twice for
Windmill; Roy Flanagan scored the other, as they beat Nags
Head 3-1. Danny Watts scored the Nags goal. Mark Wright,
Mark Aucott and Dave Aucott all found the net for Ford
Sports Res as they beat Stockingford White Lion 3-0.
Richard Wilson, Darren Phipps, Charlie Reardon and Aaron
Seymour all found the net for Drayton Res as they went on
to beat Sunnyside Res 4-1. Stuart Pearson scored the
Sunnyside goal.

Ref on top of the situation
Jonathan Lunn
and Kieran Brown both found the net for Yenton as they
beat Hill Top Res 2-1 to stay top of
Nuneaton Trophies division three. Daniel
Hunter was on target for Hill Top. Sporting Lloyds
registered a 3-1 win against Weddington Thistle Res with
their keeper opening the scoring. Mount Pleasant picked up
three points with a 2-0 win over Chapel End Salutation.
Royal Oak
Bedworth take over top spot in
Heartland Evening News division four thanks to
their 4-2 win over Wentworth Wanderers Res. Lewis
Halfacree bagged two of the Royal Oak goals, Adam Knowles
and Michael Turner added the others, while Mark Wilson and
Tom Clark replied for Wentworth. Collycroft Cricketers Res
drop to second after they were beaten 2-0 at Attleboro
Sports. Alex Lawrence scored his seventh goal of the
season for Attleboro; Darren Pegler scored the other on
his debut. Ford Oak Res slip to third after they were held
to a 3-3 draw at Anker Inn. Danny Oldacres scored twice
for Anker, Andy Azopardi the single. Terry Millburn, Matt
O’Toole and Danny Burton all found the net for Hartshill
Manor in their 3-1 win over Bedworth Liberals Res, while
Attleboro Mills Res stay bottom following a 3-0 defeat to
Baddesley Red Lion.
There is a
two-way tie at the top of
Mortgage Advice Agency division five with
Nuneaton Rileys and FC Gallery vying for top spot. Rileys
suffered their first defeat of the season as they went
down 5-4 to Yenton Res. Gallery meanwhile edged passed
Mancetter Athletic 4-3 thanks to a Paul McDonald hat
trick. Paul Jones scored the other Gallery goal, Danny
Green, Damon Kimberley and Danny Barclay replied for
Mancetter. Four teams then follow all locked on 13 points,
which includes Mancetter who lie third. Jailhouse enjoyed
an 8-1 win over Black Bank with Alan Smith again in
forming front of goal with four of his teams tally. Ashley
Berrell also weighed in with a hat trick. Kevin Mitchell
scored twice for Chapel End Salutation Res in their 4-0
win over Wentworth Warriors. Cameron Forryan and Rob
Hatton scored the others. Abbey Green and Stockingford
Sports Res shared the points in their high scoring 4-4
draw. Jack Hubbard ad Mick Jabwitt both scored twice for
Abbey, James Dawkins 2, Dec Moreno and David Aston replied
for Stockingford.
