Gallery show their metal to
remove Lion !
F C Gallery reached the first round of the
Tribune Cup after
disposing of Stockingford White Lion 4-1 in the
preliminary stages. Matthew Watson and Paul McDonald gave
FC Gallery a 2-0 lead after only seven minutes. Division
two side White Lion reduced the arrears but further goal
from Watson and Rob McDonald secured the victory for the
division five outfit. Jailhouse overcame Lord Raglan 3-2
with their winner coming in the 93rd minute.
Danny Armiger scored four times for Hill Top as they beat
Anker Inn 7-1. Adam Richardson 2 and Denzil Richards
completed the rout. There were also wins for Mount
Pleasant Bedworth, Black Horse Sports, Bull & Anchor Ash
Green and Attleboro Oak.

In the first round proper, Nick Ginnelli
scored twice or Bull Athletic as they went on to beat
Coton Liberal 4-2. Nathan Littler and Mark Perkins also
found the net for Bull, with Hanna Lee and Ashley Morris
replying for Coton. Mark Brown and Alex Evans both scored
twice for Weddington Thistle as they beat Nags Head 4-1.
Lloyd Walton scored for Nags. Andy Mosey gave Bedworth
Liberals a five-minute lead against local rivals Trent,
but Adam Newall and Andy Massey and Ben Mountford gave
Trent a 3-1 lead at half time. Glynn Callaghan completed
the scoring with a second half penalty. Baddesley Red Lion
edged passed PNW Athletico, 2-1, while David Merry’s goal
gave Ford Oak a 1-0 win over Nuneaton Punch Bowl.
Stockingford Sports needed penalties to defeat Windmill
after both sides were level at 1-1 after 2 hours of
football. Dean Elkerton scored the Sports goal. Andy
Mallabone, Neil Morris and Kevin Lamb all found the net
for Sporting Lloyds, but Old Swan hit back through, Martin
Cooper, John New, Rob Dane and Tom Clarke to win 4-3. Ian
Chaddaway bagged a hat trick, including two penalties, as
Ambleside beat Nuneaton Riley’s 4-1.Chris Hall scored the
Ambleside fourth, heading inform a corner. Ryan Beck had
earlier given Rileys a 5th minute lead. Cameron
Forryan scored twice for Chapel End Salutation as they
beat Abbey Athletic 4-2.

Attleboro Oak v Wentworth Wanderers

Memorial Reserve Cup, holder Trent FC Res began
their defence of the trophy with a 2-1 win over Collycroft
Cricketers Res. Jai Leech gave Trent the lead but Kieran
Thompson replied for Collycroft before Blane Harvey
secured victory. Last seasons beaten finalists, Ford
Sports Res, eased into the next round thanks to a 6-2 win
over Attleboro Arms Res. Dave Aucott scored twice, Mark
Aucott, William Atkinson, and Graham Duncan also found the
net for Ford. Paul Egginton and Steve Webster replied for
Attleboro Arms. Paul Hutchins and Cameron Stepney both
scored twice for Stockingford Sports Res as they beat New
Dolphin Res 4-2. Martin Cheshire and James Liddell scored
the Dolphin goals. James Thomason bagged a hat trick for
Hartshill Sports Res in their 6-1 win over Ford Oak Res.
Danny Laight, John Parker and Matt Lawley scored the other
Sports goals.
In the league games played their was a full
Mission Fashion Premier One
programme which saw Ford Sports keep the only 100% record
in the division. Neil Mather bagged a hat trick for the
league champions in a 4-3 win over newly promoted New
Dolphin. Lee Petch scored the other Ford goal, Matt Smith
2 and Darren James replied for New Dolphin. Mark
Mullholland, Zak Fotheringham, Stuart Deeming and Dave
Barnett all it the target for Haunchwood Sports as they
beat Collycroft Goose 4-0 to move into second spot.
Hartshill Sports missed the chance to go top as Nuneaton
Prince held them to a 2-2 draw. Daz Eggleton and Mark
Whittaker were on target for Hartshill. Bulkington, Ridge
Lane and White Hart RL all collected their first league
victories. Bulkington White Lion had Steph Jones and Ian
Neale to thanks for the goals that gave them a 2-1 win
over Chase, after Chase had taken an early lead. Ridge
Lane beat Fir Tree 5-3,while Jamie King bagged a brace as
White Hart RL beat Sunnyside 4-3. Stuart Dawe and Adam
Hadley also found the net for White Hart.
Chapel End Salutation Res are top of
Mortgage Advice Agency division
five after beating Mancetter Athletic 5-2. Adam
Green scoring four of the Chapel End goals, Jamie Barnsley
and James Bennett scored the Mancetter replies.
