Bedworth Liberals hope to go one better than last season as
they again reached the final of the
Willy Muir Memorial Cup.
Having finished runners up to Stockingford Sports last
season they will now meet Nuneaton Jailhouse Sports in next
months final. First though they had to overcome the tricky
challenge of Orchard Athletic and thanks to a brace from
Andy Mosey and a single from Scott Jerkovic they edged them
out 3-2. Ian Wilson and Liam Taylor scored the Orchard
goals. Nuneaton Jailhouse booked their place thanks to a 2-1
win over Nuneaton Prince. Jake Davies and Mark Rolfe found
the net for Nuneaton Jailhouse.

Ian Neale Construction Premier One Cup
Bedworth Conservatives have reached their first Sunday
League Cup final and at the same time have set themselves up
for a league a cup double. After a goal less first half in
their WH Pearson Memorial Bowl
Semi final with Bedworth Liberals Res, in which top scorers
Ryan Bates and Karl Lucid both missed chances, Lucid found
the target with a 25 yard volley to open the account. He
added a second after a goal mouth scramble to earn the
Bedworth side a crack at Boro Sports Res in the final. Boro
Sports Res, who won the Cannon Sports cup in 2007 in their
previous guise of Attleboro Arms Res, will hope to secure
their second trophy after they beat Ridge Lane Res 5-2.
Barry Heale scored two of those goals, Craig Everitt, Sean
Worrall and Scott More the singles.
Division five side Saunders booked a place in their first
final after they beat Attleboro Sports 3-2 in the semi final
of the Daily Tribune Trophy.
Gary Jameson and Ross Proudlock found the net for Attleboro
but Fred Williams, Matthew Cashmore and Martin Elliott
secured victory for Saunders who will now meet Wentworth
Wanderers Res. Wentworth also won 3-2 as they took on Arley
Miners. Ashley Hanson, Geoff Hands and Ryan Groves found the
net for Wentworth. Arley's replies came from Adam Green and
Scott Wall.

The final of the John 'Knocker'
West Memorial Cup will see Crew, who are in their
first ever final, meet Attleboro Potters. Lee Rowlands
scored the only goal of the game for Crew, a well worked
training ground free kick which saw him tap in at the far
post, as they had the edge over Chapel End Salutation.
Potters meanwhile beat White Lion Atherstone 4-1 with Danny
Armiger bagging a hat trick. Jonathan Sayer scored the
other, James McKenzie scored the White Lion goal.
Ridge Lane reached the final of the
Nuneaton Cottage Cup and
will be the first club to win it 3 times if they are
successful against either Drayton or Collycroft Goose in the
final. They eased passed Chase 7-0 to book their spot with
hat tricks from Lee Smith and Mat Benn. Ryan Slim added the
single.
Bear & Ragged Staff are on course for a league and cup
double after they beat Stockingford Sports 5-0 to reach the
final of the Vernon Baggott
Memorial Cup. They will meet Hayrick in the final
who overcame Manor House 4-1. Manor House took the lead in
that game but Jon Arshad equalised before the break to leave
both sides level at half time. Arshad scored two more after
the break before Craig Watters added a fourth to secure the
win.
Ambleside
have reached the semi finals of the
Observer Shield, a trophy
they won last season, after they beat Attleboro Fox 3-2 in
their delayed round 3 game. Steve Thomas gave Fox the lead
after 15 minutes but 10 minutes from half time Simon Rawbone
equalised for Ambleside. Thomas restored the Fox lead after
the break heading in a pin point corner but back came
Ambleside this time it was Jim Coss who found the equaliser.
The final quarter of the games was incident packed with the
Fox keeper Callum Morris pulling off some fine saves and
David Mills from Ambleside heading off the line. The game
was settled by Ambleside's Luke Henney who, after a
collision between the Fox keeper and his defender, tapped in
the loose ball.

Baddesley
Social are into the semi finals of the
TMJ Leisure Cup after they
knocked out Anker Inns 5-1. Jack Males, David Perkins, Ryan
Finch, Luke Brown and Kieron Jackson all found the net for
Baddesley.
Weddington
Thistle, playing their first game since 8th
November 2009 booked their place in the semi finals of the
Ian Neale Construction Cup
with a 5-4 penalties win over Hartshill Sports. Alex
Evans scored twice for Weddington, Ross Krupa the other as
Weddington force extra time. Liam Taylor replied twice for
Hartshill, Alex Kerr adding their single.
In the league games played, Haunchwood Sports moved four
points clear at the top of Mission
Fashion Premier One after they beat Ford Sports
3-2. Mitchell Piggon scored two of the Haunchwood goals,
Blyth added the other. Vaughan and Petch replied for Ford
Sports. Old Black Bank picked up their first point of the
season after they drew 2-2 with Crows Nest. Mark Reading and
Clive Ashby scored the Old Black Bank goals.
In Bedworth Domestic Appliances
Premier Two, Poplar Athletic 62 moved into third
spot after they beat Sporting White Lion 7-0. Boro Sports
helped their relegation worries as they beat Bedworth
Travellers 3-1. Byron Warmington and sub Andy Needham two,
both scored on their débuts. Bottom Club Windmill also
picked up three valuable points as they beat FC Lord Nelson
2-1.
Chetwynd
Arms are back on top of Alphie Cain
Financial Services division one after they beat
luckless Royal Oak Bedworth 19-1. Darren Whitmore fell one
short of the league record for goals scored in one game as
he bagged 9. Ian Neale scored 4 and James Darlaston 2.
Singles came from James Goode, Taylor Hamill, Richard Gill
and Adam Dewis. Mount pleasant Sports moved into fourth spot
after they beat Hartshill Sports Res 3-0, while John
Bentley, from the penalty spot, Craig Hincks and Adam Baxter
from 35 yards, earned Lancet all three points from a 3-1 win
over Bermuda Sunday.
In Nuneaton Print Division Two
Jailhouse missed the chance to close the gap on leaders Bear
& Ragged Staff after they were held to a 3-3 draw by Ford
Sports Res. Ryan Hill, Mark Aucott and Craig Morgan all
found the net for Ford Sports Res. Drayton Res and
Weddington Thistle Res also shared the points in a 3-3 draw
with both staying in the bottom half of the table. Ashley
Wilkes 2 and Paul Elkerton were on target for Drayton,
James Gascoigne, Adam Richardson and Giles Anderley replied
for Weddington Thistle Res. Nuneaton Community consolidated
their third spot thanks to their 7-1 win over Attleboro
Mills. Nathan Carrigan, Daniel Barlow, Dave Govier, Luke
Wilson, Mark Bawden, Dave Buckley and Paul Govier all found
the net for Nuneaton. Richard Cave replied for Mills.
Hayrick Reserves take over top spot in
Nuneaton Trophies division three, but only on
goal difference. They were held to a goal less draw by Malt
Shovel, while the leaders before kick off, Old Black Bank
Sports Reserves, were beaten 8-2 by Collycroft Cricketers.
Scott Burrows scored four of the Collycroft goals, Andy
Stevenson bagged a hat trick, Mark Brittain scored the
single.
Nuneaton Community Reserves are back on top of
Nuneaton News Division four
but only on goal difference. They led twice trough top
scorer Gavin Orton in their game with Chapel End Salutation
Res but were twice pegged back, the second equaliser coming
in the last minute and had to share the points ending their
100% record. Stockingford Sports Res closed the gap on third
placed Bedworth Miners Arms by beating them 4-0. Marco Prota
scored two of the Stockingford goals, Lewis Ludlow and Brett
Clarke added the others. Their were also wins for Crows
Nest Res and Sporting White Lion Res. Crows Nest beat
Attleboro Mills 5-1 while White Lion edged past Mills
Athletic 1-0.
Kelly's Bar now have a six point cushion at the top of
Mark Blair Mortgage & Finance Division
five thanks to their 4-0 win over Nuneaton
Community 3rds. Wanderers lost ground in second after they
were beaten 2-1 by Alties who move out of the bottom three.
Ben Cole scored both of the Alties goals, Lee Kemp replied
for Wanderers. Two goals each from Warren Frost and John
Barnett plus a single from Ross Harris helped Bedworth Mount
Pleasant to a 5-1 win over Baddesley Social Reserves and
third spot three points behind Wanderers. Richard Greenway
scored the Baddesley goal. With goal difference likely to
become a factor come the end of the season, Hayrick 3rds
took theirs back into the positive with a 6-3 win over The
Crown. John Lane scored four of those goals, one in the
first and the other three after the break. Ryan Hayes and
Jamie Steggles completed the scoring. Graeme Elliott 2 and
Craig Pilbeam scored the Crown goals. James Sheppard and
Danny Keats both scored twice the The Clock Res as they beat
Griff & Coton Res 5-4. Jordan Coles scored the other Clock
goal, Nick Berry, Emir Geega, Martin Monaghan and Paul
Jephcote replied for Griff & Coton. Tom Clarke scored a hat
trick for Wentworth Warriors but it couldn't stop them from
slipping to a 5-3 defeat to Attleboro Potters Res. Adam
Moscrop 3, Mark Gilbert and Richard Horsfall scored the
Potters goals.
