The game started at a slow pace, with no side getting the upper hand.  Black Horse looking for a League & Cup Double began to get on top, but spirited defending and poor shooting kept the scores level at the interval.

Wentworth started the second half the stronger putting pressure on the Black Horse back line, and the deadlock was broken on the hour.  The ball was drilled to Craig Mundy on the right flank, with no help up front, he picked his way through two defenders, to beat the keeper at the far post.  The game became end to end and Black Horse came close to levelling on 85minutes, but the post saved the Wentworth men.
