Route to the Final

Round One

In round one the away teams had the upper hand with Trent Valley WMC Reserves winning 5-2 away to Hartshill Sports Reserves, Black Horse Sports winning 3-0 away to Bedworth Travellers and Ansley Social eventually defeating Haunchwood Sports Res 4-2 on penalties, following a 2-2 after 120 minutes. Wentworth Wanderers, Chase FC, Boot Old Boys, Coton Rose and Weddington Thistle all received a BYE.

Round Two

Round Two almost saw another away whitewash but Wentworth Wanderers saved the home team blushes by defeating close rivals Weddington Thistle 2-1, while the away results took centre stage. Chase FC beat Trent Valley WMC Reserves 1-0, Black Horse Sports eased past Boot Old Boys 6 - 2 and Coton Rose finally overcame Ansley Social 4 - 3 on penalties following a 1-1 draw after 120 minutes.

Semi Finals

Black Horse Sports recorded their 3rd away win in this year’s competition defeating last year’s winners Coton Rose 2-1 to book their place in today’s final. Last years other finalists had a slightly easier time against Chase FC defeating them 4-2 to join the Horse in the final. Good luck to both teams in what promises to be a great final.
