White Hart RL - 5-a-Side
Tournament

White Harts 5-a-side tournament in
August. They wish to invite as many
NDSFL member teams as possible.... well 32 of them anyway on a
first come first served basis!! Entry is
£20 per team with a maximum squad of 7 per team - obviously
clubs can enter as many teams as they like. Attached a promotional poster
and as you'll see from that, they have 'upped the ante' this year by
arranging a children's funfair for the day in addition to the usual
barbecue etc. so all the family can enjoy the day out.... Great English
weather permitting of course!

The Air Ambulance Appeal !
We shall be presenting a cheque on behalf of the
Member Clubs to the Air Ambulance
at the next League Meeting on Monday April 28th.
We are now finalising the final amount, and would ask the Clubs to let
John Ward have any outstanding monies with out delay - Many thanks.
Chapel End Salutation FC & The Air Ambulance !
A recent trip to the
Air Ambulance base at Baginton
Airport, where we were fortunate enough to see the
helicopter & be given a brief tour of the inside. We also got
to speak with the aircrew & paramedics who were very
accommodating & gave us almost an hour of their time.
The Club donated £1,250 and have
asked if the League and Clubs would get together to raise a
lot more for this excellent service, we all wish we shall not
need !!!

Presenting the cheque for £1,250
If we get all the Member
Clubs to combine in an effort to make a
NDSFL donation, I know they
would appreciate it. It could be something as simple as
picking 1 or 2 weekends where each team runs a blackout or
donates a small sum from there subs. The combined effort
of all of the clubs could easily raise another £1,500 & get
some good press for themselves and the League.

The
operating budget for the charity is £1.4m per year & rising
with a possibility of stretching to 2 Helicopters in the near
future.
It costs £560.00 approx to
get the thing into the air & so all the clubs combined could
contribute to saving possibly 3 peoples lives???
